Great minds think alike: Johan Cruyff and Wim Jansen
In the autumn of 2008, Cruyff Classics will release a new model in the Campioni dello Sport line, for which a third legend will emerge: Wim Jansen. This collector’s item, with Wim Jansen pictured on the tongue of the shoe, will be available in limited circulation at the specialized shoe stores in the Netherlands.
Campioni dello Sport is a derivative from the world famous Panini-concept of collecting soccer cards. Cruyff Classics has given this concept its own twist; every season a new model is added to the Campioni dello Sport collection with a new soccer legend pictured on the shoe. The first 2 models have been successfully released to the market; Faas Wilkes and Frans de Munck. Now it’s Wim Jansen’s turn.
Wim Jansen played 65 international games, an exceptional talent who occupied midfield and libero positions and who won many awards doing so. Johan Cruyff and Wim Jansen formed an exceptional team during the WC of ’74, a tandem or in other words: ‘Great minds think alike’.
Cruyff Classics is proud to be able to bring back the combination Cruyff – Wim Jansen. And as will become apparent: this duo is still a great success today.
